The materials
Doping
Adding or removing charge carriers, usually by substituting a few percent of one element for another. An undoped cuprate does not superconduct at all; doped, it holds the record.
Why doping matters
The same parent compound can be an insulator or a record holder depending on it, so a material is not specified until its doping is.
Where doping comes up

SuperMatics is a platform infrastructure company for superconducting devices: software that finds the material and the process, lab work that makes and measures it, and pilot manufacturing with industrial partners. If you have a device and a constraint it has to meet, tell us about it.
